More than one hundred and fifty inches. That is the amount of snowfall that Little Cottonwood Canyon has received in the past couple of weeks. That is well over ten feet of snow, only 14 days. A pow riders dream.
Oh the P-Dog... Base of operations. Ski bumming doesn't get any better than it is at this place. So many individuals living in the huts, the fort, and drunk alley and with one primary goal: the destruction and total annihilation of any and all deep, fresh, pretty snow. Gotta put lines all up in that shit. Nothing else matters. Fools risk avalanche, injury, job security, relationships, everything. Just to put a line in some snow, where there otherwise was no line. The prettier the curves, the better.
Looking down at the P-Dog, the Fort, and some rich people's homes from the Flagstaff skin track. If a ski lift ever went in on the north side of the street it would be a sad day for Wasatch backcountry skiing!!!The high pressure has returned and since it is still sooooo spring, the snow got manky fast. Within a day all but the most sheltered, high, north facing slopes where totally baked out. Here is a picture of Rasta on the skin track headed up towards Days Fork. PEaCe
