South of Price, Utah there is a wondrous place. Wind and water have worked to shape the earth, seemingly with the purpose of intriguing the mind, soul, and body. I feel immense joy when traveling amongst the boulders and cliffs of the Buckhorn Wash.
This is where Butch Cassidy fled after bank robberies in nearby western desert towns. This is where Edward Abbey mused his wonderful and inspirational tales. This is where countless "climbers" have cut there teeth jamming cracks. This is the place.
If you are lucky you might see some wildlife in the swell. The wildlife will surely see you, and this might be why you never see it. But regardless, in the desert, even the humans seem to become "wildlife".
Oh yeah, and check out this Dino footprint... roar.
